Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These terms govern your use of RoleReadyCV (“the Service”), operated by Jason Foster, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. What the Service Does

RoleReadyCV uses AI to restructure and tailor your existing CV text to better match a specific job description. The Service does not fabricate experience, qualifications, or skills. You are responsible for reviewing all output for accuracy before using it in any application.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per person. We reserve the right to close duplicate or fraudulent accounts.

4. Credits and Payment

• The Service operates on a credit system. Each CV tailoring request uses one credit.
• Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe. All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
• New users receive one free credit upon verifying their email address.
• Credits do not expire.

5. Refund Policy

• Used credits are non-refundable. Once a credit is spent to generate a tailored CV, it cannot be reversed.
• Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Contact support@rolereadycv.co.uk to request a refund.
• By using a credit, you acknowledge that the digital content has been provided and you waive the 14-day cancellation right for that credit under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate misleading or fraudulent CV content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its API.
• Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

7. AI-Generated Output

• The Service uses Anthropic's Claude API to process your text. Output quality depends on the input you provide.
• We do not guarantee that the output will secure you an interview or job offer.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all output before submitting it to any employer or recruitment platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jason Foster (trading as RoleReadyCV) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the preceding 12 months.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. CV and job description text is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
