Who We Are
RoleReadyCV is a CV tailoring service operated by Jason Foster, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We help job seekers quickly adapt their CVs to match specific job descriptions using AI.
What Data We Collect
- Account information — your email address and password when you create an account.
- CV and job description text — the text you paste into the app for tailoring. This is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Usage data — your credit balance and transaction history for accounting purposes.
How We Use Your Data
- Your email address is used solely for account access. We do not send marketing emails.
- CV and job description text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. The text is used only to generate your tailored CV and is not stored by us or by Anthropic. Under Anthropic's API terms, data sent via the API is not used for model training.
- Payment data is processed by Stripe under their own privacy policy. We only store a record of the transaction for accounting purposes.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only for authentication session management. These cookies are set by Supabase Auth and are required for the app to function. We do not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate RoleReadyCV:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes your CV and job description text to generate tailored output. Data is not stored or used for training.
- Stripe — handles all payment processing securely.
- Supabase — provides authentication and stores your account information.
- Vercel — hosts the application.
Data Retention
- Your account and email address are stored until you request deletion.
- CV and job description text is never stored — it is processed in real time and discarded.
- Transaction records are kept for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Be informed about how your data is processed.
